Si è detto di tutto su questo progetto nei giorni precedenti al lancio, anche perchè Friis e Zennstrom sono maestri nello sfruttamento in salsa web 2.0 delle opportunità del P2P.
In realtà niente di completamente nuovo sotto il sole: il rapporto EITO 2006 già sottolineava come il P2P fosse una opportunità per il crescente mercato dell’econtent.
Secondo alcuni bene informati (Om Malik via VOIP blog), alla base di alcune soluzioni tecniche del progetto c’è il cuore (si legge kernel) di Mozilla per risolvere alcune questioni legate al porting (AKA stessi contenuti su web-piattaforme diverse).
