E pensare che io non ci sono mai riuscito a risolvere il cubo di Rubik (tra l’altro considerato da molti un classico rompicapo matematico).
Vedendo questo robottino fatto con Lego Mindstorms NXT che lo risolve senza grosse difficoltà, provo un misto di invidia e ammirazione.

In realtà “risolvere” il cubo di Rubik significa applicare algoritmi, cioè sequenze ordinate di passi semplici, il che rappresenta l’ideale per un robot, o meglio per il software che lo gestisce.
Daniele Benedettelli, studente di Ingegneria a Siena, ne ha costruito diverse versioni (una delle quali presentata a Superquark un paio di settimane fa). Ha anche scritto un libro sull’argomento:

Eh …. si si … è necessario trascrivere l’algoritmo in una forma utilizzabile dalla macchina usando un linguaggio di programmazione …. ma … vedere il robottino all’opera è carino 🙂

Non sono sicuro che sia meno tosto che costruire il robottino: io comunque non ci sono mai riuscito, forse col robottino…che sicuramente è più ganzo da vedere che un tizio come me si impicca a far quadrare le facce

Io seguendo le gli algoritmi di cui qualcuno a parlato sopra ci sono riuscito abbastanza facilmente…ma a quel punto diventa più un “eseguire i comandi”, di capacità e di logica personale c’è ne è veramente poca…però da soddisfazioni, veramente!!

Ho sempre pensato che il Cubo di Rubik sia un rompicapo matematico di quelli che se sai la soluzione ti passa la voglia di giocarci (tipo il gioco del tris quello con le X e gli O). ma sapendo il trucco fai un figurone con chiunque 🙂
