Le slide che vedete sopra sono frutto di un esperimento.
Ovvero partendo dalla mia collezione di servizi per il datamining, e forte di alcune riflessioni che ho fatto sul tema della Social Media Analytics ho provato a fare un quadro delle conversazioni che sono avvenute nei social media italiani sul tema del terremoto in Abruzzo.
L’evento catastrofico ha colpito l’immaginazione e i sentimenti di tutte le persone che hanno seguito la vicenda con apprensione e che in modo diverso hanno voluto esprimere la propria solidarietà ai cittadini abruzzesi, perciò mi sembrava un caso studio interessante per testare alcune piattaforme che consentono l’analisi dei discorsi online.
E’ solo un esperimento, ma sarò grato a chiunque volesse darmi indicazioni, consigli e critiche.

Senta Professore, mi rendo conto che il tema è delicato e si rischia di sembrare troppo cinici tuttavia vorrei cmq farle una domanda: parlando di flussi elettorali secondo lei la grande tragedia del terremoto può in qualche modo aver favorito il governo in carica e in particolare il presidente del consiglio Berlusconi? la storia mi insegna che salvo rari casi (e per rari casi penso sopratutto a quello Spagnolo dopo gli attentati dell’11 marzo 2004) solitamente le grandi tragedie hanno sempre favorito i governi in carica , poi non dimentichiamo che proprio alla vigilia delle elezioni questa tragedia ha probabilmente spostato l’attenzione della gente , mettendo per qualche giorno in secondo piano i problemi del paese, sopratutto quelli relativi alla crisi economica… cosa ne pensa?

la domanda che mi sottopone è oltremodo delicata.
Effettivamente è difficile negare una corrispondenza fra eventi catastrofici, ruolo del governo e il gradimento da parte dell’opinione pubblica. Bisogna però stare attenti ai meccanismi attraverso cui i governi ottengono consenso. Che questa tragedia si sia trasformata in un evento politico di “allargamento del consenso” è innegabile, è d’altra parte era politicamente prevedibile.
Il vero problema a mio avviso è il ruolo assolutamente ancillare giocato dalla stampa quotidiana e televisiva: in una democrazia liberale la stampa ha il ruolo di fungere da portavoce del diritto dei cittadini ad essere informati, quando questo ruolo invece viene declinato altrimenti, allora è bene chiedersi se la stampa sta giocando un altro gioco in un altro campo.
