La Forrester Research qualche anno fa (2007) ha messo a punto un sistema di analisi il cui scopo è quello di rendere conto della complessità degli utenti dei social media.

Infatti tutti sanno che i social media users non sono uguali: si va dal semplice fruitore di contenuti generati dagli utenti, al produttore di contenuti tout court.
Forrester ha rappresentato questa diversa forma di partecipazione come se gli utenti fossero collocati su una scala: dal livello di partecipazione più alto a quello più basso.
Recentemente sono stati rilasciati i dati del 2009 che confermano un trend piuttosto interessante: la crescita degli utenti italiani attivi è sempre più progressiva e costante.
Il grafico interattivo di sopra permette di vedere il peso percentuale degli utenti definiti creators (creatori) sul totale degli utenti italiani.
Ovviamente ancora vale la famosa (e criticatissima) regola 1-9-90 di Jacob Nielsen, ma è interessante vedere come la social media sfera italiana non sia solo un posto che fruisce e basta, ma stia progressivamente diventando anche un posto in cui di producono contenuti.
E che andrebbe valorizzato.
