Un paio di mesi fa è uscito il nuovo numero (il 9 per la precisione) della rivista Brand Care Magazine, dove curo una rubrica su tecnologia, cultura e società.
Il tema del numero è quello delle Comunità creative, declinate secondo diverse forme: narrazione, satira, marketing, foodblogging.
Io ho affrontato il tema degli Open Data con un articolo dal titolo “Evidence Based Democracy. Gli open data come strumento di democrazia”
L’idea che cerco di sostenere è che gli open data possono essere considerati un passo ulteriore verso una nuova forma di democrazia partecipativa, dove “partecipazione” vuol dire anche mettere a punto degli strumenti per monitorare attraverso i dati l’operato della pubblica amministrazione, a tutti i livelli.
Anche perché gli open data, potrebbero non solo monitorarel’operato delle PA, ma – magari – sviluppare tools per migliorare il momento decisionale, secondo il celebre aforisma di Luigi Einaudi “Conoscere per deliberare”, strada che negli ultimi tempi non sembra particolarmente battuta.
Oltre a casi classici americani, ho citato anche una serie di casi italiani come Openpolis.it, Linked Open Data Italia, Datagov.it, Spaghetti Open Data.
Il titolo sibillino è dovuto al paragone che faccio fra open data e evidence based medicine, un movimento culturale del mondo della medicina secondo cui il momento della diagnosi deve essere basata su robusti dati empirici e non solo sul “buonsenso” del medico.
