Qual è quel posto dove le aule sono grandi, le sedie ergonomiche, gli annunci degli studenti sono in tedesco e i bagni degli uomini hanno la porta rosa?
E’ la Libera Università di Bolzano, dove sono andato il giorno di San Valentino per partecipare come relatore a un seminario su “La creatività nelle professioni“. Il seminario è stato organizzato dall’Unità di Studio sulla Creatività diretta da Paolo Volontè e coordinata da Marco Pedroni e Elisa Bellotti. Qui la locandina dell’evento, mentre qui trovate il programma della giornata.
Lo scopo del seminario è stato quello di elaborare un quadro generale delo stato della creatività e delle sue declinazioni nelle diverse attività professionali e devo dire che è stato piuttosto interessante (ho preso un sacco di appunti)
La giornata è stata introdotta da Istvan Magyari-Beck (Corvinus University, Budapest) che ha introdotto la sua creatology, una disciplina che a suo avviso dovrebbe raccogliere tutti gli studi – dalla neurologia all’economia passando per la psicologia – che si sono occupati di creatività. A me ha alsciato piuttosto freddo pur avendo spunti interessanti, prima perchè non credo alla possibilità di mettere a punto una disciplina totalizzante per le scienze sociali, secondo perchè non è stato un intervento convincente.
A seguire gli interventi di Severino Salvemini (Università Bocconi, Milano) che ha fatto un excursus sul valore economico delle industrie della creatività sopratutto rispetto alla città e ai suoi molti momenti creativi, e Domenico De Masi (Università La Sapienza, Roma) che dall’alto della sua lunga carriera di studi sulla creatività e il lavoro ha rivelato la sua personale definizione di creatività che consiste in fantasia e concretezza. Da qui ha affascinato la platea con una serie di esempi tratti da varie esperienze dislocate nel tempo e nello spazio (Michelangelo, Leonardo, Bauhaus, Bloomsbury). La mattinata si è chiusa con una riflessione sull’importanza del Genius Loci come momento di ispirazione e valorizzazione delle singole realtà territoriali.
Il pomeriggio è iniziato molto bene con un intervento di Marco Ricchetti e Giannino Malossi (Hermes Lab) sulla creatività nelle professioni della moda. Ricchetti ha illustrato che la creatività nella moda parte da un presupposto base: la conoscenza dei filati e dei tessuti con cui verranno confezionati gli abiti. Questa competenza risulta necessaria sia perchè in primo luogo permette l’intervento del creativo (lo stilista, per esempio, ma non solo) in tutte le fasi della catena produttiva dell’abito; in secondo louogo perchè la conoscenza dei filati è l’unico modo per far comunicare due culture che altrimenti non si comprenderebbero ovvero la cultura manifetturiera/produttiva e la cultura stilistico/creativa.
Su questa impostazione ha proseguito Malossi sottolinenando l’ostilità (e la resistenza) della cultura aziendale italiana alla figura del creativo, ostilità basata su tre falsi miti: il lavoro creativo è troppo costoso, il lavoro creativo è sotanzialmente inutile e illavoro creativo non riesce ad avere un suo spazio nell’organigramma aziendale. La demolizione di questi falsi miti è stata basata sul fato che il prodotto creativo produce reddito, l’Italia compra petrolio con i soldi guadagnati con l’alta moda e l’organigramma non prevede il creativo solo quando l’azienda è familiare/familistica.
L’intervento di Gabriele Vacis (Università Cattolica, Milano ma anche regista teatrale di fama) ha sfuttato le sue competenze teatrali e la sua profonda conoscenza di Grotowsky per illustrare che le organizzazioni temono la creatività e dalla creatività cercano di difendersi, altrimenti non si spiegherebbe perchè nella sua regia della Cerimonia di apertura delle Olimpiadi di Torino 2006, ha impiegato 5 minuti per ideare la scena della bambina che canta “Fratelli d’Italia” e un anno per convincere i decisori che era meglio lei della banda dei Carabinieri (non so quale anniversario dei Carabinieri cadeva nei giorni delle Olimpiadi Invernali di Torino del 2006).
L’ultima parte del pomeriggio è stata introdotta da Maria Antonietta Trasforini (Università degli studi, Ferrara) che ha illustrato una bellissima ricerca su “La creatività nelle professioni artistiche” dove – focalizzandosi sul ruolo delle artiste donna – ha scoperto l’importanza delle reti basate su legami deboli (ovvero legami amicali non profondi) confermando così la teoria del sociologo Mark Granovetter. sottolinenando cosi come questa tipologia di legami sia tipica del mondo dell’arte contemporaneo.
Poi è toccato a me (Università La Sapienza, Roma) 🙂
Ho introdotto una relazione con tanto di powerpoint (che vedete sopra) dove cercavo di mostrare il rapporto fra creatività e professioni del web 2.0. Per prima cosa ho illustrato le identità professionali e il modo di intendere il concetto di creatività dei professionisti del web 1.0 e dei (non)professionisti del web 2.0. Dopodichè ho illustrato le due forme di creatività (a mio avviso) tipiche del web 2.0: la creatività tecnologica (progettare servizi come black box) e la creatività sociale (dare massima libertà al prosumer).
Infine Federico Neresini (Università degli Studi, Padova) ha parlato di creatività nella scienza, mostrando che anche se la scienza è restìa a parlare di creatività, nella ricerca si trovano figure che hanno ruoli molto simili a quelli della coppia creativa in pubblicità. Inoltre ha evidenziato come la creatività nella scienza sia fondamentalmente un’attività di problem making (e non solo di problem solving come voleva Popper) ed è per questo motivo che l’iinovazione nella scienza spesso è il trasferimento di un ricercatore e delle domande della sua disciplina da un settore a un altro (fisici che si occupano di economia, chimici che si occupano di biologia, ecc.)
Credo che la conclusione migliore ai molti stimoli della giornata sia stata quella di Paolo Volontè (Libera Università, Bolzano) che ha chiuso dicendo che la creatività è un processo di comunicazione nei confronti di un destinatario che è prodotto dallo stesso creativo”. Sembra un gioco di parole, ma vi garantisco che non lo è assolutamente.
Sensazioni.
Bella giornata: sole fuori e idee dentro l’aula del seminario.
Creatività: non si tocca ma esiste e il suo sviluppo è una scommessa per il futuro produttivo e culturale dell’Italia.
Professionalità: costruzione di esperienze che permettano la crescita individuale, perchè il professionista non è un erogatore di informazioni ma un costruttore di relazioni.

Nel PPT di cui sopra ho messo delle cose che penso su quale sia lo specifico creativo del web 2.0.

Caro Davide, provo una innata simpatia per chi sa far emergere, motivandoli, i dubbi, le contraddizioni, i punti di rottura. E mi pare che molti interventi, soprattutto nel pomeriggio, abbiano dato eco a quella domanda che ogni tanto si pone chi studia la creatività, compreso il sottoscritto: ma non si tratterà di un’etichetta vuota, di uno slogan per dare una bella veste a quel senso di vaghezza e disordine che non sappiamo come chiamare? Ecco allora che il contraltare della creatività celebrata come facoltà umana, troppo umana, diventano le resistente che al lavoro creativo che vengono opposte, quotidianamente, negli ambienti di lavoro.
Mi sembra che il convegno abbia fedelmente rispecchiato lo ‘stato dell’arte’ degli studi sulla creatività: al mattino, interventi di noti studiosi della materia, che sono riusciti a riassumere le sfaccettature della creatività in semplici ricette (la creatology di Magyari-Beck, la fantasia e la concretezza di De Masi, la correzione delle 3T di Florida con le 2S da parte di Salvemini); al pomeriggio, la declinazione nelle pratiche professionali concrete dei creativi. E’ qui che emergono quadri molto diversi, forse nuove linee di ricerca.
Ma se la creatività è ricombinazione dell’esistente in forme nuove, allora la cosa più creativa dell’intera giornata sono senza dubbio le porte dei bagni che hai citato: rosa per i signori, azzurro per le signore. Il capovolgimento di un codice cromatico arbitrario che però noi tutti percepiamo come naturale. Qualche secondo per superare l’iniziale spiazzamento… per poi ricontrollare, all’uscita, di essere entrati nel bagno giusto. Certo, ridurre la creatività a una questione di bagni è poco poetico…
Ecco: credo che la creatività sia qualcosa che lascia spiazzati. Almeno un po’.
