Non sono un grande esperto di musica classica (ahimè), ma ho una serie di passioni musicali, tra l’altro non particolarmente originali.
Vivaldi, Hendel, Mozart (come potrebbe mancare) e qualcosina del periodo romantico.
Ma vado pazzo per le sofisticate architetture matematico-geometriche delle fughe di Bach.
Ovviamente ho conosciuto Bach attraverso i film horror della Hammer e di lì mi sono innamorato della musica per organo (ma anche clavicembalo: ben temperato, of course).
Bach è quanto di più matematico esiste per l’orecchio: basta ascoltare le sue fughe (ma non solo) per riconoscere modelli, schemi, strutture ed elementi ricorsivi.
Non è un caso che un libro molto famoso della seconda metà degli anni ’90 che rifletteva su logica e intelligenza artificiale è Godel, Escher, Bach di Douglas Hofstadter.
Qui ho raccolto alcuni dei tributi pù curiosi ad una delle più famose fughe di Bach, la toccata e fuga in Re minore, che hanno un duplice scopo o un tributo ad un grande classico della musica oppure visualizzarne la struttura perfetta.

Questo post mi ha provocato un’immensa goduria audio-visiva: grazie Davide. Quando avevo dieci anni mia madre mi portava nelle chiese alla ricerca dei concerti per organo dove suonavano Bach. Poi ho imparato a suonarla, questa particolare fuga (lo spartito aveva una copertina rossa, ancora me la sogno), anche se male. Ora mi piacciono (anche) le visualizzazioni, e in quest post le trovo entrambe 🙂
